Vacation: Ovah

I am flying back to reality today...you know, the real world, where I have to clean house, deal with the husband, and be social with the neighbors.

We've got about 6 weeks left of summer vacation before I return back to the hard, cold, REAL reality so I'll enjoy the concrete jungle as best I can, because the return of school scares the crap out of me. My plate is oerflowing with commitments already...what have I gotten myself signed up for?

I apparently am going to teach again next year. Yippee!!! Being at work at 7 a.m. rocks. Ha.

Next, look to the right. Yes....I did it. I signed up for a marathon. Eeeks! Having done two half marathons in the last year, I thought it might be time to grow up and try the real thing. Quite frankly, I think that was a crazy impulse decision. I am not so sure I will live through training and be able to run on January 9th. And time...who has TIME to train for these things?

The Ice Princess will be in full swing of both her figure skating business (meaning, I have to take her all over Creation several times a week and will also be in soccer. Boy Child will be on a travel lacrosse team which apparently travels throughout the continental United States. What happened to sports teams just chilling out in your own town? Something about Texas...kids sports are insanity.

And...to ice this crazy busy cake...I will be president of the Bored Mom's Club, ie: PTA. What was I thinkin'?!

So, I'll take these next 6 weeks and just veg. Read...blog...and try to enjoy the children as best they allow, because, come August 25, all he-double hockey sticks will be breakin' loose!
